ABOUT

This project is about experiencing tourism in Iran. During this project, my team and I designed a website that helps users to find local, unique activities to do during their travel to different cities and local parts of Iran.  
 

PROBLEM DEFINING

 

  • Some users like to visit the local life of a country during their travel.

  • Access to the deep cultural part of some countries is difficult for travelers.

  • Some people prefer to travel without tours and explore interesting in their travel time.

  •  Considering both the fun part in the target place and safety, make finding a local life and involving it difficult for travelers. 

RESEARCH GOALS

 

  • Understanding travelers' needs and interests during their travel time.

  • Make sure about the safety of travelers in any part of local experiences.

  • Find a trustable host and connect them with travelers. 

  • Searching similar experiences of travelers and discovering their challenges and trying to solve them.

Users Problem
Travelers who liked to travel without tours, needs a complete package of information about their targets. Besides, those who like to have a local experience during their travels like participating in different local workshops, event, and activities need an app or a website to trust it and use for their travel to an unfamiliar country and place. 
Solution
By gathering all information about the target place, well-organized text, images, and videos, travelers can save time and energy, deep into the information, and gain all they need for their travel. They also can ask for any support like a local guide person like a tour leader, and a translator service in case they do not know the language of target travelers.

Scenario

David, a remote Data Analyst, plans to explore Iran's local tourism with his girlfriend. His Iranian friend, Ali, suggests using TastePersia, a top-notch website specializing in experiential tourism in Iran.

Impressed by Ali's recommendation, David visits TastePersia's user-friendly website. He discovers a curated selection of immersive cultural tours and off-the-beaten-path experiences, tailored to different interests.

With seamless navigation, David effortlessly selects travel dates and books his desired tour on TastePersia. He gains confidence from positive user reviews, highlighting the platform's exceptional hospitality and authenticity.

Next Step

After designing the website, the next step is attracting visitors and generating interest in its unique travel experiences. I decided to conduct market research to identify our target audience and determine the most effective marketing channels to reach them. Based on our research, I developed a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that included the following tactics:

​

  1. Search engine optimization (SEO): I will optimize the website's content and structure to improve its ranking on search engines such as Google. This involved keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building.

  2. Social media marketing: I plan to create a profile on popular social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, and use them to share engaging content and interact with potential customers.

  3. Content marketing: I will develop a content strategy that includes blog posts, videos, and other types of content designed to educate and inspire potential customers about the unique experiences available through our website.

  4. Email marketing: I will create a mailing list of interested customers and sent regular newsletters with updates about new travel experiences, promotions, and other relevant news.

  5. Influencer marketing: I will collaborate with travel influencers and bloggers who had a following interest in experiential and cultural tourism, and offer them free experiences in exchange for promotion on their channels.

As a result of  digital marketing efforts, I will see a significant increase in website traffic and bookings. I will continue to refine our marketing strategy based on data and feedback from customers, and are committed to providing unforgettable travel experiences in Iran that showcase the country's rich culture and history.
